What is the UBC Slush Series?

The UBC Slush Series is a unique 7-part autocross championship series running over the winter months ending with the traditional Slush #7 UBC-SFU Challenge. With all other local clubs closed for the year, it's a great chance for novice and experienced drivers alike to get a head start on the competition for the various championships run over the regular season. With such a wide variety of weather possible, it's also a great time to get some practice driving in various conditions - we run our events in just about anything mother nature can come up with (including beautiful sunshine!). In 2006 we had over 200 drivers compete for the title of Slush Series Champion, eventually to be won by our own Ken Au-Yeung. The title of Slush Series Novice Champion was awarded to UBCSCC's own Kelvin Luk. This year in 2007 we are kicking it up a notch with more competition, more prizes, and more fun!

New for 2007-2008:

TOP NOVICE DRIVER of each event, as determined by the PAX index, will receive admission to the next Slush event FREE.
2ND NOVICE DRIVER will receive $10 off the next Slush event.
3RD NOVICE DRIVER will receive $5 off the next Slush event.
TOP SENIOR DRIVER will receive $10 off the next Slush event.
There will be no transfers or "credit". If you cant make the next event, you are out of luck!

*** For the purposes of the 2007-2008 UBCSCC Slush Series, a novice is defined as a person who has competed in 3 or less events before October 1, 2007. ***

Class Groupings

We'd like to remind everyone that like our previous Slush Series, we'll be grouping similarly PAXed classes together for the competition so there will not be any single driver classes. This means that the Slush Series trophies will be awarded for your overall position within your group of similarly PAXed classes and not just for your position in your own class.

Group 1 - STS, STX, STS2, STU
Group 2 - CS, DS, ES, FS, GS, HS
Group 3 - SS, AS, BS, ESP
Group 4 - BSP, CSP, DSP, FSP
Group 5 - ASP, SM, SM2, AP-FP, AM-FM

Sponsors & Prizes

We would like to thank all of our sponsors for their generous support to the 2007 UBC Slush Series. Without our sponsors, this series and the club as a whole would not be able to operate in the way we do. We are always looking for new sponsors who would like to support amateur motorsports in a high profile series; for more details please email our sponsorship director Larry Louie at sponsorship@ubcscc.com.
