The 2009 UBCSCC-Toyo Tires Partnership
For 2009, the UBC Sports Car Club has teamed up with Toyo Tires to give our members access to Toyo's premier line of motorsports tires. Toyo Tires has graciously extended us a deep price discount for the clearout RA1 tire, and its immediate smash hit replacement, the R888. Both the R888 and its predecessor, the RA1, are designed for circuit use such as track days and solosprint. These tires are not designed as an autocross tire, instead designed to manage heat and maintain high levels of grip for longer lapping sessions. Later in 2009, Toyo will release, in limited numbers, the new R888 GGG ultra-soft compound designed for autocross use. UBCSCC will be the only club in Western Canada to test on these new tires and will receive special pricing as soon as they have met DOT approval.
All those who are interested in ordering either the R888 or the remaining RA1 stock must first join Team Toyo Racing.
1) Head to www.teamtoyo.ca and click on "Racing"
2) Click "Racers Register Here" and complete the online registration form (direct link here) and waiver. Be sure to enter "UBCSCC" and your CACC barcode in the Car Club field so that you receive the sponsorship discount.
3) A package will be sent via email that includes your TTR Membership ID.
Once you have received your TTR Membership ID, place your order with any authorized Toyo Motorsports Dealer.
1) Place your order in advance through an authorized Toyo motorsports dealer (Toyo Motorsports Dealers)
2) Present your TTR Membership ID with a valid driver's licence at the time of purchase to receive your appropriate discount.

The Toyo Proxes RA-1 The Toyo RA-1 is an Ultra High Performance Racing Tire developed for the racer who wants professional racing performance at street tire prices. The RA-1's UTQG tread wear rating of 100 indicates road adhesion levels suitable for those applications where winning means everything!
